Why I do what I do: Housing is a basic human need, and there’s a great deal of satisfaction that comes from assisting an individual or a family in finding a rental home that meets their needs, whether for a 1 week summer vacation, a year while they attend the War College or a more permanent move to the area. My enthusiasm for our Island makes it easy to point out its many attributes and the resulting quality of life, regardless of how long they will be here. I am constantly reminded of how special Jamestown is, as I see it again through the eyes of my clients.

Noteworthy moments in my RE career: Every time a Tenant rents a house sight unseen, and then is pleased with both the home and Jamestown, it’s a notable moment. Of course, there was the time I rented a furnished home to someone who showed up with a moving van full of furniture thinking it was unfurnished. That was a notable moment I’d rather forget.

Prior Careers: I consider myself an entrepreneur, so I’ve done many things in my life that either had to be created or expanded. Along the way I’ve owned several businesses including managing partner of a 50 room beachfront inn and restaurant in Newport, a leather shop on Thames St., two auto accessory stores (Warwick & Seekonk) and a property development company that purchased, renovated and sold properties in Newport. I have also worked as a site coordinator and sales agent for a national developer of residential homes, and as a sales consultant for the Pitney Bowes Corporation.

Hobbies & pastime interests: Avid runner, perennial gardener, boater, and traveler to National Parks (5 down & lots more to go).
