Why I do what I do: I really love working with people in partnership to help them settle here, move in, move up, move down…or even move on! I also love working with everyone at Island Realty creating a cooperative environment where people love what they do and get the support they need….and have fun, too. And I love working with my business partner, Carol. We’ve been working together for over 17 years!

Noteworthy accomplishments in my real estate career: Selling a house to a couple who said, “We’re coming in for the weekend, with very specific criteria, and we know it will take a long time to find the right thing.”……and having them buy, that weekend, a house they immediately fell in love with! Selling waterfront land to a couple who dreamed of waterfront, but thought they just couldn’t quite afford it. Why did this work? Seller and seller’s agent, buyer and I worked cooperatively to meet everyone’s goals. It took a few months, but the buyers have since raised 3 beautiful daughters in Jamestown…..on the water.

Previous careers: Special education teacher, assistant to director at Johnson and Wales Culinary Institute.

Things I do when I’m not doing real estate: Sailing, swimming in the bay (about 8 months of the year), reading, volunteering (I’m a hospice volunteer for Visiting Nurses of Newport and Bristol Counties), hanging with friends and family.
