Jamestown Resident since: Summer since 1998; Full time in 2019 Hometown: Rutland, MA
Why I do what I do: As a newly retired first grade teacher for over 32 years, I have always enjoyed working with my students and their families. Jamestown is so unique that I want to help share it with as many people as possible. As a rental specialist for Island Realty, I will use those same positive attributes that I developed in the field of education while working with those who want to vacation or live here on this beautiful island!
A little bit about me: My dream just came true! I am a full-time resident here on Conanicut Island. For 22 years I have lived here during summers and weekends. I just retired from my teaching position in the Wachusett Regional School District in Rutland, Massachusetts. I earned my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Elementary Education from Worcester State College and a second master’s degree focusing on English Language Learners from Framingham State University.
What I do when I am not doing real estate: Very early in the morning you might see me jogging down Narragansett Avenue in the village and up to Beavertail Lighthouse. You might also see me riding my bike from Fort Getty to the north end of Jamestown. Reading at Mackerel Cove, gardening, and taking care of my home are favorites as well.
Notable accomplishments in my real estate career: Enthusiastically I am beginning my new career with rentals here at Island Realty. Just as I gave 110% of myself to my teaching career, I am willing to do the same here at Island Realty.
