Jamestown resident since: 1983 Hometown: Westerly, RI
Why I do what I do: Matching people with homes is like solving a wonderful puzzle. I just love meeting my clients, listening to their needs and working together to find a house in which they can create a life, or enjoy a much deserved vacation. I am fortunate to work with a team of agents that are unparalleled: bright, resourceful, generous, hardworking people who make me laugh out loud every day.
A little bit about me: Prior to my career as a rental agent (which began in 2008) I was a professional dancer with the Island Moving Company for 25 years, and taught ballet to students from age 4 to adult, as well as being the Director of the RI College dance company. I have a BA in Biology from the University of RI.
What I do when I’m not doing Real Estate: A naturalist at heart, I am constantly amazed by the beauty of Conanicut Island, and with my partner in crime, grandson Oliver, I like to roam its shores and cliffs. I also love nothing more than to gather the freshest ingredients from local sources (Zeek’s Creek, Windmist, Hodgkiss, Watson and Cottrell farms) to create delicious meals for family and friends. A former member of the Jamestown Arts Center’s original board of directors, I now serve on the newly formed Jamestown Committee for Public Art.
Notable accomplishments in my Real Estate career: As a rental specialist I have assisted hundreds of people over my 11 year career in finding a place to call home, either for a long term rental or for one precious week in the summer. It has been my enduring honor and pleasure to assist military families that are relocating here to be students or faculty at the Naval War College. It is so much fun to see them strolling through town, playing at the playground, or swimming at Mackerel Cove, absolutely delighted that they chose to live in this little slice of heaven called Jamestown!
